POLICIES

Area of Operation:
Smooth, flat surfaces (such as residential streets or parking lots) are ideal for trackless trains.  We can also operate on grass or hard surfaces, as long as the terrain is fairly firm, dry and level.  No more than a 7% grade and no steep hills for safety reasons as well as mechanical limitations of our equipment.

 

Who can ride:
Small children may require accompaniment by an older child for comfort and safety reasons.  The engineer will make the final decision on how the weight capacity of each car is distributed.

 

Behavior: 
Our professional staff is committed to your safety. Unsafe behavior will require us to stop the train ride, and all unruly passengers will be asked to de-train.

 

Rain Policy:
We do not operate in rain, snow or ice.  If there is a possibility of rain, or wind in excess of 20-25 miles per hour on the day of your event, you have the option to reschedule the day before your event.  If our train and driver are at your event and you decide to cancel due to weather the you will forfeit all the money you paid for our services.  

 

Deposit and Payment:
We require $50 non-refundable deposit, in order to secure your event date.  The deposit will go towards your total.  Payment is due in full one week before your event.

 

Cancellation Policy:
We will accept cancellations 72 hours prior to your booked event.  If you cancel outside 72 hours, you will forfeit $50.00 non-refundable deposit.

 

Permits:
Some cities require a permit for us to operate on public streets or in public parks.  It is the responsibility of the customer to obtain any necessary permits required by your city’s Parks and Recreation Department.

 

Loading & Unloading:
We require adequate space in order to load and unload our train safely. The train comes on a 24 ft trailer.

$175 for each additional hour

We do not charge a set-up fee or a delivery fee.  We do ask for a reasonable $1 per mile mileage fee to cover gas.  We are centrally located in Elgin.  For your convience we provided service area mileage breakdown below.
